Formula 1: ZF Sachs Partner Brawn GP victorious again
Third win at fourth race of the season for Brawn GP: Jenson Button, whose Brawn-Mercedes racer is equipped with ZF Sachs Race Engineering dampers, won the race in Bahrain and increased his championship lead in the process. Team mate Rubens Barrichello completed the latest successful weekend for the new racing team with fifth position.
Jarno Trulli and Timo Glock, in whose Toyotas clutches from Schweinfurt are fitted, also made a strong impression throughout the entire weekend. WRC: Ford driver Henning Solberg on the podium
The Ford team Stobart collected six points with privateer Henning Solberg at the fifth round of the World Rally Championship. The Norwegian痴 Focus uses a ZF Sachs Race Engineering clutch. Solberg was delighted after scoring his best result of the season across the rough gravel terrain in the southern hemisphere.
The factory Ford team had to settle with sixth position for Jari-Matti Latvala. The Finn was lying in a promising third position on the last day when a small defect in the fuel supply system cost him eight minutes. His team mate Mikko Hirvonen was at this time no longer on the time sheets. His car was retired the previous day due to over-heating.
