Ford maintains championship lead in Mexico
ZF Sachs partner Ford maintained its lead in the Manufacturers� World Championship during the Rally Mexico. The Ford factory drivers Mikko Hirvonen and Jari-Matti Latvala, whose Ford Focus RS WRC cars are equipped with ZF Sachs Race Engineering clutches, finished fourth and fifth in the gravel rally. Hirvonen, winner of the Rally Sweden, struggled on the opening day because of a bad starting position at the head of the field and lost time.
Two other Ford drivers Henning Solberg and Federico Villagra competing for customer teams Stobart and Munchi痴 also scored points. Both the Norwegian痴 and Argentinean痴 Focus RS WRC are equipped with ZF Sachs Race Engineering clutches.
