DTM: Timo Scheider maintains advantage in title fight

By finishing the ninth round of the DTM season at Dijon-Prenois in sixth place ZF Sachs partner Audi maintained its advantage in the fight for the drivers title. On the undulating circuit in Burgundy, France, Timo Scheider in his Audi A4 DTM, which uses a high-tech clutch from Schweinfurt, secured position six after pushing to make up ground and will thus travel to the finale at Hockenheim with a lead of seven championship points. Mercedes-Benz driver Gary Paffett decided the dramatic race at Dijon-Prenois in his favour.

Further points went to drivers relying on racing technology from ZF Sachs Race Engineering. Jamie Green in the year-old Mercedes, which is equipped with clutches from Schweinfurt as well, secured fourth place. Martin Tomczyk in the 2009-spec Audi A4 DTM took seventh, Mathias Lauda in the 2008-spec AMG Mercedes C-Class eighth place.
