DTM: Audi driver Timo Scheider wins at Barcelona

One-two-three clean sweep for ZF Sachs-Partner Audi, good position for Timo Scheider for remainder of the season in the title battle: The eighth DTM race of the season at Barcelona finished with a perfect result for the team from Ingolstadt. The Audi A4 DTM are equipped with high-tech ZF Sachs Race Engineering clutches. This component proved to be decisive for Timo Scheider at the track located on the doorstep of the Catalan metropolis. After making a lightning start the German positioned himself at the head of the field, a lead which he held all the way to the chequered flag. Tom Kristensen in second and Martin Tomczyk in third position completed the victorious day for Audi.

With two championship races left to run this season Scheider leads the standings by twelve points from Audi team mate Mattias Ekstr�, Mercedes-Benz driver Gary Paffett follows in third place 14 points behind. Ten points are awarded for winning a DTM race.
