Formula 1: Button defends World Championship lead

Jenson Button remains Formula 1 World Championship leader after the Hungarian Grand Prix. Seventh place at the Hungaroring for the Briton, whose Brawn-Mercedes is equipped with ZF Sachs Race Engineering dampers, was sufficient for him to enter the four week summer break with a comfortable 18.5 point lead over his closest rival Mark Webber (Red Bull-Renault). Button痴 Brawn team continues to lead the Manufacturers Championship.

Kimi R臺kknen proved to be a surprise at the tenth round of the season. The two Toyota drivers Timo Glock and Jarno Trulli, whose cars are equipped with clutches from Schweinfurt, also drove strong races finishing sixth and eighth respectively.
