DTM: Ekstr・ and Jarvis on podium at Zandvoort
The fourth race of the DTM season at Zandvoort ended with podium positions for Audi drivers Mattias Ekstr・ and Oliver Jarvis. Ekstr・, like all Audi drivers, relies on a high-tech ZF Sachs Race Engineering clutch, was only beaten by Gary Paffett (Mercedes-Benz). A great result also for Audi driver Oliver Jarvis: The Briton, who became the first DTM driver ever to claim a pole position in a year old car, took a fighting third place following a mistake and after having to contend with rapidly deteriorating tyres in the closing stages of the race. Four more points scoring positions also went to ZF Sachs partner Audi: Alexandre Pr・at, Martin Tomczyk and Markus Winkelhock finished fourth, fifth and sixth respectively. Defending champion Timo Scheider took the final championship point in eighth position.
