Formula 1: Rubens Barrichello on the podium at Silverstone

With a third place Rubens Barrichello, whose Brawn-Mercedes machine is equipped with ZF Sachs Race Engineering dampers, reduced the gap slightly to his team mate Jenson Button in the championship standings. The Briton had won six of the previous eight races held so far this season, but had to settle for sixth position and three points in the race at Silverstone. Red Bull Racing celebrated a one-two at the head of the field with Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber.

Felipe Massa, who also relies on ZF Sachs Race Engineering dampers in his Ferrari, produced a sterling performance at the 塗ome of motorsport・ Following a somewhat sobering eleventh place in qualifying the Brazilian fought his way through the field to fourth position with his machine痴 perfect race set-up. Jarno Trulli, in whose Toyota a ZF Sachs Race Engineering clutch is used, collected two championship points in seventh place.
