WRC: Andreas Aigner takes PWRC title
Championship victories for Sachs partner: Andreas Aigner clinched the Production World Rally Championship title during the World Rally Championship season finale in Great Britain. The Austrian痴 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution is equipped with a clutch and rally Group N suspension supplied by ZF Sachs Race Engineering. Aigner celebrated three victories during the 2008 season. He finished the season finale in Wales in second position.
ZF Sachs partner Ford once again finished on the World Rally Championship podium: After the one-two in Japan the Finn Jari-Matti Latvala, whose Ford Focus RS WRC is equipped with a ZF Sachs Race Engineering clutch, finished second in Wales. As a result, Ford took second place in the Manufacturers・Championship after a thrilling season. Ford driver Mikko Hirvonen had already been confirmed as championship runner-up before the finale.
