Formula 1: ZF partner team Ferrari scores points at season highlight in Monaco
ZF partner team Ferrari only narrowly missed a podium finish. In the horsepower spectacle in the Principality Monaco, the Spaniard Fernando Alonso finished fourth. The current world championship runner-up, whose Ferrari F14 T is equipped with dampers from ZF Friedrichshafen AG, remained in control around the difficult street circuit and improved his good fifth position on the grid by one place at the finish. After a sixth consecutive points scoring finish in the sixth race of the season, Alonso remains in third place in the drivers classification. Team mate Kimi Räikkönen had to bury his ambitions for points just before the finish – the Finn took the flag in twelfth position. In the Formula 1 Manufacturers’ World Championship, the ZF partner team Ferrari remains in third place.
Romain Grosjean and his Lotus-Renault team celebrated scoring more points: the Frenchman, who relies on a clutch from ZF Friedrichshafen AG in his car, clinched two important points for himself and his team after finishing eighth.
