Formula 1: Fernando Alonso takes second again

Much to the delight of the local Ferrari fans, Fernando Alonso celebrated second place in the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. The Spaniard, whose Ferrari is equipped with dampers from ZF Friedrichshafen AG, started the race from fifth on the grid. With his seventh podium finish of the season, Alonso consolidated his second place in the championship standings. His Ferrari team mate Felipe Massa was also able to celebrate a good result: the Brazilian finished fourth and, in doing so, claimed his best result since the Spanish Grand Prix in May. Ferrari moved up to second place in the Manufacturers’ World Championship.
Nico Hülkenberg in the Sauber-Ferrari also scored points. The German, who also relies on dampers of the ZF brand in his car, started the race at Monza from third on the grid and finished fifth.
Daniel Ricciardo, whose Toro Rosso is equipped with ZF Friedrichshafen AG clutches, savored his seventh place and, at the same time, his best result of the season so far. Romain Grosjean with a clutch of the ZF brand followed him in eighth place and scored four points as a result.
