Formula 1: two podium finishes for ZF partner teams

Sergio Pérez and Fernando Alonso gave ZF Friedrichshafen AG plenty to smile about after finishing second and third respectively in the Italian Grand Prix. Both the Sauber-Ferrari driven by Mexican Pérez and the Ferrari, with Spaniard Alonso at the wheel, are equipped with ZF dampers. Pérez was in impressive form around the Autodromo Nazionale Monza and scythed through the field from twelfth on the grid to take second at the flag. Alonso also made up plenty of places from tenth on the grid and, in doing so, convincingly defended his lead in the world championship standings.

Alonso’s team mate Felipe Massa (Brazil) scored his best result of the season in fourth place. With the second Sauber-Ferrari man, Kamui Kobayashi (Japan), a fourth ZF partner team driver made it into the top ten in Italy.
