DTM: One-two-three victory for Audi at Zandvoort

Edoardo Mortara in front of Mike Rockenfeller in front of Mattias Ekström – Audi dominated the seventh DTM round at Zandvoort with a one-two-three victory. The race in the North Sea dunes delivered truly premier motorsport entertainment to the crowd of 37,000 spectators (throughout the weekend). Changeable weather conditions and drivers eager to overtake made the 43-lap race a nice horsepower spectacle. The best non-Audi was Jamie Green in fourth place. Bruno Spengler on position six behind Adrien Tambay (Audi) held up the BMW flag in the highest place.

In the championship, Gary Paffett in seventh place lost a few points of his advantage in the drivers’ standings. He is now ranking 16 points in front of his brand colleague Jamie Green and 18 ahead of Bruno Spengler. All of the three premium manufacturers involved in the DTM, Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz, rely on clutch high-tech from ZF Friedrichshafen AG.
