Formula 1: Alonso celebrates third victory of the season at Hockenheim

Fernando Alonso’s successful run in the Formula 1 World Championship continues: the Spaniard claimed his third win of the season at Hockenheim. Alonso, whose Ferrari is equipped with dampers from ZF Friedrichshafen AG, started from the pole position for the German Grand Prix outing and let nothing get in his way throughout the 67 lap race. In the Drivers’ World Championship the two-time World Champion extended his lead at the half-way point of the 2012 season to 34 points from his closest rival.

Team Sauber-Ferrari celebrated a great team result. After finishing fourth and sixth respectively the drivers Kamui Kobayashi and Sergio Pérez presented the Swiss race team with its best result of the season. Dampers from ZF Friedrichshafen AG are also mounted on the Sauber-Ferrari cars.
