Formula 1: Points for ZF Sachs teams

Ferrari driver Felipe Massa occupied sixth place at the wet Canadian Grand Prix. The Brazilian whose car is fitted with dampers from ZF Sachs Race Engineering was on course for a podium finish some of the time but after an accident had to change the front wing and thus dropped in the race classification. His team-mate Fernando Alonso retired after a collision.

The Japanese Kamui Kobayashi finished seventh behind Massa by a narrow margin. The Sauber driver relies on damper technology from Schweinfurt in his car too. Championship points were scored at Montréal as well by the two Toro Rosso drivers Jaime Alguersuari and Sébastien Buemi, who finished eighth and tenth. The cars of the Italian team are equipped with clutches and dampers from ZF Sachs Race Engineering.

24 Hours of Le Mans: victory with technology from ZF Sachs

The 24 Hours of Le Mans will go down in history as a classic. Audi and Peugeot fought a unique duel for victory – each with components from ZF Sachs.

Right from the beginning Audi and Peugeot as the protagonists of the classic endurance race were fighting for victory. The round-the-clock competition took a dramatic turn as early as in the first third of the race. Audi lost two of its three vehicles, including the car of last year’s winner, due to spectacular accidents. In the end a trio of the German automobile manufacturer, Marcel Fässler/André Lotterer/Benoît Tréluyer, prevailed. The runners-up were Pedro Lamy/Sébastien Bourdais/Simon Pagenaud in the Peugeot 908 who finished in front of three brand colleagues. Clutch modules from ZF Sachs are operating in each of these Le Mans prototypes. Maximum loads occur in particular after each pit stop when the diesel engines of both manufacturers deliver their extreme torque.
