DTM: Martin Tomczyk wins DTM comeback in Austria

Martin Tomczyk is the brilliant winner of the DTM’s comeback to Spielberg, Austria. At the sold-out Red Bull Ring the German driver from Rosenheim, Bavaria, who had to switch to a year-old car this year, had an advantage of 0.462 seconds over the runner-up, Ralf Schumacher (Mercedes). Third place went to the Briton Oliver Jarvis. The A4 DTM driven by Jarvis as well as the one driven by winner Tomczyk and all the other Audi cars contesting the most popular international touring car series are equipped with clutch high-tech from ZF Sachs Race Engineering. Other Audi drivers to finish in the points were Mike Rockenfeller in fifth and Timo Scheider in eighth place.

ZF Sachs has been involved in the DTM as an official supplier since the beginning of the 2011 season. This year Audi exclusively relies on the company’s clutches. From the 2012 season on, ZF Sachs will be the exclusive supplier of clutch systems to the three premium car manufacturers, Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz.
