Formula 1: Ferrari drivers scored points in China
Ferrari drivers Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso established themselves in the Formula 1 World Championship’s leading group once again at the Chinese GP. The Brazilian Massa, in whose car ZF Sachs Race Engineering dampers are used, finished sixth ahead of his Spanish team mate Alonso in the third race of the season. Massa had even fought for a podium position eight laps before the finish.
In the Drivers’ World Championship Alonso is fifth overall with 26 points directly in front of Massa (24 points) after three of the 19 races this season.
As he did at the previous race in Sepang the Japanese Kamui Kobayashi again scored points in China. Kobayashi, whose Sauber-Ferrari team also relies on dampers from ZF Sachs Race Engineering, started the race from 13th position and fought his way up to tenth and collected one world championship point in the process.
The best driver in the Toro Rosso-Ferrari team was Sebastien Buemi in 14th place. The Swiss driver started the race from ninth on the grid. High-tech dampers and clutches from ZF Sachs Race Engineering are used in his car.
