Formula 1: Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa pick up points
The Spaniard Fernando Alonso, who drives for Ferrari, came fifth in the Korean Grand Prix and picked up ten championship points. After 16 out of 19 championship races, Alonso, whose vehicle is equipped with shock absorbers made by ZF Friedrichshafen AG, is now in third place overall, behind Sebastian Vettel and Jenson Button. He is only ten points away from the position of championship runner-up. His team colleague Felipe Massa came sixth in Korea and therefore collected eight points.
Scuderia Toro Rosso achieved its best result of the season in Korea, with eight points: Jaime Alguersuari, who likewise drives a vehicle fitted with ZF shock absorbers, crossed the finishing line in seventh place and therefore earned himself six points for the second time this season. His team colleague Sébastien Buemi started the race in 13th place and finished ninth, earning himself two points.
