Formula 1: Season ends on a positive note for Alonso
By finishing the Formula 1 season finale in Brazil in fourth place Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso ended the 2011 season on a positive note. The Spaniard, who relies on dampers from ZF Friedrichshafen AG in his car, finished the year as the best Ferrari racer in fourth place overall.
Alonso’s team-mate Felipe Massa, whose Ferrari is equipped with dampers from ZF as well, showed a good performance at his home race on the outskirts of Sao Paulo, clinching fifth place as his best result of the season. An equally decent performance was delivered by Sauber racer Kamui Kobayashi. The Japanese, whose car is fitted with dampers from ZF, scored two championship points in ninth place.
